E Waste on Waste Map2

E-Waste (short for electronic-waste) is electrical equipment that no longer works and can’t be repaired, like computers, printers, fax machines, scanners, mobile phones, TV’s, monitors and electrical accessories like keyboards, power supplies and cables.

E-Waste is one of the fastest growing problem waste streams, with many items often containing valuable resources like rare and precious metals that need to be recycled. 💻🖨🖥

💻 You can drop off your E-Waste at local Glenorchy businesses Computers + More, Recycal in Derwent Park and Harvey Norman, Moonah. Nb. small charge applies at Recycal for E-Waste, X-rays and light-globes, other items free.

📱 You can drop off old mobile phones at Council Chambers and some schools - look for the Mobile Muster drop-off boxes https://www.mobilemuster.com.a...

🖨 Printer and ink cartridges can be recycled at most electrical goods retailers and post offices.

Why not have an E-Waste spring clean-up in time for National Recycling Week, 9-15 November, 2020! ⏰
