Ban the bag! Plastic bags cause havoc at the Derwent Park recycling facility and also contaminates FOGO organic waste which goes back to Tassie farmers as compost.

Keep plastic bags out of your recycling, leaving items loose. For FOGO, line your caddy with newspaper or kitchen towel, or if you prefer a bag, only use 100% compostable bags (choose the green ones with 'compostable' on the label, available at all major supermarkets).
