3 Feb 21: Did you know we have a Waste Education Officer who can come to your school?

MBHS

It's great to get students and schools talking about all the ways we can look after our environment where we work, play and of course, go to school!

Danielle has been working with local schools in Glenorchy for years creating great conversations and raising awareness about Council's waste services and strategies. The sessions are tailored to each class and include a range of important waste topics like recycling, sorting our waste and our FOGO service!

This year's school competition theme is 'Hey Mate, Don't Contaminate!' focussing on making sure the right items go in the right bins and don't end up in landfill! The student winner gets their artwork on the side of our Council litter truck!!

So, tag your school or your teacher and get them to contact us to arrange a time with Danielle this year! Phone 6216 6800 or email gccmail@gcc.tas.gov.au
